Cash Bath
Olivia Kirsten James, 2012
Hello! :)
So, now that I’m finished shooting for all four concepts, it’s time to choose the final images and perform the edits needed. What I need is some help with choosing the final image for the last concept. As you know, I already chose an initial image and edit. However, I’m considering other choices from this shoot and would like your help in making this decision. I’ve selected nine other possible images. Which do you think would make the best final image?
Should I include multiple? I have been contemplating the possibilities of including two to three images from each concept and presenting them as single sets in a larger series. I’m thinking sort of like a fashion editorial since they usually present two or three from the same shoot. Right now I am leaning towards this idea unless otherwise opposed. Feedback is much appreciated!
Thanks to all who have followed and supported this blog! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the response thus far. I do plan on continuing this blog, independently from my Design for Media class at the end of the semester. I will most likely continue to post at least once a week or every other week. I do have a lot of idea’s for the summer and will hopefully make the time to pursue them!
Thanks again!

Tuesday night I shot my fourth and last concept for Project Duncan. I purchased some silky oriental fabric to use as the backdrop and did my models makeup myself. I decided on a more indirect way to incorporate the red fabric “nails” by tying them around her fingers. I’ve included a test edit for one of the photos. Comments and questions are always welcome and appreciated! :)

The “Ribbon Vomit” shoot went smoothly, however it is the shoot I spent the most time with to setup and probably the one I’m least satisfied with. The backdrop took me forever to install! I do like the photos though. Check out the proofs above! I also got several nice portraits of my model. Perhaps I’l post some later just for fun. Let me know what you think! I believe I’ll be shooting my nails concept this weekend.
Stay tuned!

Cool Stuff. Money bath is awesome! thought of using 2 shots in stead of one? like one where the model is looking into the camera?.
Hey, thanks! Yeah, I would like to but I have 3 other photos to go along with the series. Though the more I think about it, these photos may not end as a series, but rather separate works. So perhaps I’ll present them as such. We’ll see…
The “Cash Bath” shoot went really well! I had a very helpful model and some great friends who let me invade their bathroom for a couple hours while we set up. Above are the proofs but I believe I’ve already chosen which photo I will go with for this project (0139). I really love the smoke and the tones in that one. I knew it would be the one when I took it! Any comments or suggestions are totally welcomed! :)
